What Makes Nomi AI's Pricing Unique
Nomi AI differentiates itself from other AI companion platforms primarily through its memory-focused features. Here is what sets its pricing apart from the competition.
Industry-Leading Memory
Unlike most competitors that forget after a few messages, Nomi's Premium plan includes deep long-term memory that retains details about your relationship, preferences, and shared experiences indefinitely.
Backrooms Feature
Exclusive to Nomi AI, Backrooms let your Nomis talk to each other without you. This unique feature is included in the Premium plan at no extra charge, something no competitor offers at any price.
Group Chat Dynamics
Premium subscribers can create group chats with multiple Nomis who interact with each other and with you, creating a social dynamic that most platforms charge extra for or do not offer at all.
Shared Notes System
Premium users get a unique shared notes feature where both you and your Nomi can create and reference notes together, further deepening the persistent memory experience.
Is Nomi AI Premium Worth It?
Whether Nomi AI Premium is worth the cost depends on what you value most in an AI companion. Here is our honest assessment based on weeks of testing.
Worth it if you:
- + Want an AI companion that genuinely remembers your conversations and relationship history
- + Are interested in the Backrooms feature and multi-Nomi interactions
- + Plan to use it regularly and build a long-term relationship with your AI
- + Want image generation, voice messages, and NSFW content included in one plan
- + Are willing to commit to an annual subscription for the best price
Maybe not worth it if you:
- - Only want casual, infrequent chats (the free tier may suffice)
- - Prioritize visual avatar customization over conversational depth
- - Want a large public character library (Nomi focuses on your own companion)
- - Are not comfortable committing to annual billing for the best rate
Our overall take: Nomi AI Premium on the annual plan is one of the best deals in the AI companion market. The memory system alone justifies the price, and the Backrooms and group chat features add genuinely unique value you will not find elsewhere. The monthly price at $16.99 is more in line with competitors but still competitive given the feature set.
